In1927, my Great-Grandfather, Will O'Brien was responsible for the largest cattle deal ever made in the United States. He purchased 10,000 cows from around the country and brought them together in Amarillo, Texas.

Will’s vision was the bring together cattle with superior genetics to create future generations of premium beef. His view on the importance of breeding and environment was passed down to my grandfather Johnny, my father Bill, my uncle Jay, and now to me and my brother, Blake.

Today, Texas Beef is an integrated ranching, farming and feed yard group owned by my family. It has managed more than 200,000 cattle every year for more than 30 years.
